Trained-Expert Carrier repairs. The most
common repairs needed with older Carrier
package rooftop units are faulty combustion
blowers and heat exchangers. When sections of
the heat exchanger rust through, gaps allow
air from the main indoor blower to enter the
fireside of the heat exchanger blowing the
burner flames back out the front of the burner
tubes. When the holes become large enough, the
flame sensor will lose contact with the flame
and shut down on safety.
