WHAT WE DO

OUR SERVICE GOALS:

The goal we strive for in servicing new or old equipment is to not just repair the "broken part". Parts rarely fail solely due to old age or factory defects. They usually fail from lack of simple maintenance or failure to correct relatively small problems before they turn into big problems. We not only find and replace the faulty component but find and rectify the underlying cause of the failure.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PLANS:

We have Service Agreements tailor made for every customer's needs and budget, from residential to commercial. Budget your annual service costs and save on labor, replacement parts and equipment by joining one of our plans.

$$$ Going Up The Exhaust Hood?

We can help you take control of your building heating system and fuel bills by properly adjusting your existing exhaust / make-up air system. Most systems we find are improperly adjusted causing too much negative pressure in the building. The result is arctic blasts when doors are opened in winter and bigger heating bills....

We also find many make-up air units that are shut off or never repaired because of the misconception that it costs too much to run them. After all, it's hard to imagine heating up a large amount of outside air to pump back out the kitchen exhaust hoods. But the air has to come from somewhere - in proportion to the amount being exhausted - so it comes in from wherever it can: open or leaking doors, windows, ducts, chimneys and vents. Instead of filtered, conditioned air being brought in near or at the exhaust hood/s, outside air is sucked in from various undesirable points.

Another very important, often overlooked problem with negative pressure, is it's effect on gas burning equipment inside the building, such as water heating equipment and boilers. Unless you have a sealed combustion unit, proper venting of potentially dangerous flue gases cannot be accomplished and are dumped in the mechanical room. Draft inducers are frequently installed on typical atmospheric units (hot water tanks or boilers) but can only overcome moderate negative pressure. Inadequate venting is the major cause of heat exchanger failure which usually means unit replacement. A potentially bigger cost is from cold air being drawn down the flue piping during every off cycle and cooling down the heated water.

Call a qualified contractor and have your equipment checked and adjusted if necessary. You'll have more comfortable customers and lower HVAC costs.

MOST HVAC REPAIRS ARE SIMPLE

The pros and cons. Mostly cons.

Fact - Most compressor failures can be due to any one or more of these simple problems:
dirty coils, lack of refrigerant or oil, faulty or worn contactor points or incorrect operating control adjustment or failure.
Fact - Most furnace heat exchangers fail prematurely due to improper air flow. This can be caused by:
dirty filters, loose belts, undersized duct work, improper air balancing, blocked intakes, dirty air conditioning evaporator coils or improper installations.
Fact - Cast iron boiler sections fail from either a "water side" or "fire side" problem. Many of these problems would be detected by a qualified tech performing routine maintenance preventing major equipment failure: incorrect installation and piping, accumulation of "mud" in sections from lack of service, incorrect burner adjustments, improper venting or chimney problems, improper control or safety settings or lack of combustion air.
